It’s about grandparents

BLUE IS THE BEST: Third grader Drew Valcourt and his classmates agreed that the blue was the best of the rainbow flavors of the cone.

TAGGING ALONG: Jamie Chamorro and his wife Mary wait with their grandson Isaak in the long line at the ice cream truck at Friday’s picnic.

COMPARING: Bill and Laraine Piccirillo and their granddaughter, Lia Wasilenski, picked different ice creams for dessert and, as evidenced, either savored or couldn’t wait to eat them.

The weather couldn’t have been better Friday for the St. Kevin School grandparents day that included a picnic, a DJ and plenty of mingling with faculty and friends following a late morning mass. The event has become a tradition at the school that both grandparents and grandchildren look forward to. About 250 grandparents, as well as some parents, turned out for the event.
