Jennie (DiCecco) Golish, age 83, of Warwick, died peacefully on April 1, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late William M. Golish.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Peter and Filomena (Confreda) DiCecco, she was a life-long Warwick resident. She was employed at Victoria Creations in Warwick for 35 years. Mrs. Golish enjoyed playing bingo and watching the Boston Red Sox. She was an active member of the Pilgrim Senior Center.

She was the loving mother of Kathleen A. Paquin and her husband, David, Karen A. Golish, Kristine A. Golish and her companion, Al Leo, Karol A. Lucier and her husband, Richard, William M. Golish, Jr. and his wife, Susan, Michael P. Golish and his companion, Belinda Milam, and Peter W. Golish, all of Warwick; and the devoted grandmother of Jennie, Megan, Kyle, Bethany, Michael, Peter, Richard, and Alisha; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra. She was the sister of Concetta Scarduzio of Narragansett and Gloria DiBenedetto of Warwick, and the late Julia Beauchamp, Ann Garner, and Elizabeth Arlia.

She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will live on through her family.

Her funeral will be held Friday, April 5, at 8:45 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 618 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
