Kate Turner stars in "Ragtime-The Musical" at PPAC

Winner of Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Musical Score, “Ragtime-The Musical” returns to the road in all all-new touring production, starring Kate Turner.

Turner was seen at PPAC last year in “Camelot”, receiving rave reviews.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Providence, enjoying the restaurants and the beautiful theatre,” she said from her hotel in Santa Barbara, where the show is running before moving on to Toledo and then Providence.

Turner graduated from Penn State with a degree in Musical Theatre, and has landed some of the juiciest roles for women, including leads and key roles in “Legally Blonde”, “Annie”, “A Christmas Story”, “Chorus Line”, and “Camelot”.

Born in Pensacola, Florida, Kate now lives in New York City. She enjoys travelling and playing different roles for audiences around the country.

The stories of an upper-class wife, a determined immigrant, and a daring young Harlem musician are set in turn-of-the-century New York, where all three characters are united by their desire an belief an a brighter tomorrow.
