“Welcome to Moe’s” can now be heard throughout Warwick, since Moe’s Southwest Grill opened its doors at 300 Quaker Lane on Dec. 18. To celebrate the opening of its second Rhode Island location, the popular chain has donated $2,500 to Park Elementary School in Warwick. Moe’s pre-registered every school in the city to be eligible to win the donation. The school with the most votes at the end of the voting period won the $2,500. All schools were pre-registered online at MoesGrandOpening.com. Friends, family, faculty and community members were encouraged to vote for their school once a day between Nov. 18 and Jan. 5, ending at noon. The winning school, which was determined by the most votes, was announced on Jan. 5. Park Street Principal Marilyn Feeney indicated that the funds would be used to purchase more technology for the students.
