Only a vote for Trump can 'cancel' Hillary

Posted

To the Editor,

Approximately half the people of this country believe that Donald Trump is the last chance to save the nation from the liberal/progressive induced rapid decline it has endured these past 7 and 3/4 years.  This half population is willing to forgive Trump's somewhat clumsy entry into the oily world of politics that is dominated too often by forked tongue sharpies.  Trump's world is the rough and tumble arena of business and on the stage that is New York, no less, where no nonsense speech is the norm.  These people well understand that many great men, such as Winston Churchill, have human shortcomings and yet rise to great achievements.  Churchill was known to often be in his cups and a master of administering stinging insult to those who were his critics.  The reader is referred to the book "The Last Lion Alone" by William Manchester to fully comprehend the author's laudatory descriptive in the use of "lion" when referring to Churchill.

Although there are three other candidates beside Trump vying for the presidency, the only viable candidate among these is Hillary Clinton.  That translates to a choice for the voter of either Hillary or Trump.  There are many who are greatly conflicted by this as they feel this as an affront to their sensibilities because they do not like either candidate.  For those people, there is a word of caution necessary here and a review of our system of voting.  Although presidential elections are not based on popular vote, each state election is.  That makes the state votes a "cancellation" process to the extent the candidate having votes that have not been matched by votes his/her opponent has received is deemed the winner in that state and hence awarded all the electoral votes of that state. (Sort of a "last man standing format")   For those voters who absolutely do not want Hillary, their non-vote or throw away vote (vote for a non viable candidate) is essentially a vote for her because her cadre of voters is substantial in number and firmly committed.  Hence, all non-votes and throw away votes do not cancel (match) a vote for her --- only a vote for Trump does.  Use it to cancel Hillary.

Hillary Clinton should never be elected to the office of president because she is not worthy of the office.  Clinton's complete lack of integrity, honor, and competence rule her out as even marginally fit for this critically important job.  The words that accurately describe her are unrepentant, blatant, in your face liar and yet she has the audacity to run to be this nation's leader.  The list of her negatives is seemingly endless but one example among the very many is her "supposed" lack of understanding that some of her e mail messages were marked classified.  This is nothing short of incredible and a dangerous failing --- and another example of her consistent lying.

Hillary has pledged to continue the legacy of Barak Obama if she is elected to the presidency.  The reader may wish to search the web for Sylvia Thompson who is a black conservative writer for "Renew America" publication who makes no apology for her opinion on just how dangerous to this country is Obama and his policy and actions.  (See Sylvia Thompson, "Barak Obama is not seeking legacy")  As the reader checks the writing of Thompson, they will surely be concerned that Hillary will continue Obama's plan to destroy America as Thompson claims.

Voters should be shocked by the support that Hillary garners from many media people who know full well the shortcomings of this candidate.  But more appalling than the complicit media are the political leaders both nationally and statewide who are supporting this candidate when they know without a doubt the disgraceful qualities of the candidate.  Their own integrity is called into question when they will trade party loyalty for honor.  Do they not understand that their actions are a lesson or example to their children, grandchildren, and all young people and flies in the face of all they do to teach the importance of honor, integrity, and being a person of good character?  How do they explain this dichotomy: their support for a candidate woefully lacking in honor and truthfulness but then demanding that their children be youngsters of good character?  These are questions that every voter should answer as well as they mark their ballot this November of 2016.

Liberal induced decline? The stupidity of that comment doesn't even warrant a response, but I'm amused that your anti-Clinton rant was published on the SAME page as the Beacon's endorsement of Clinton.

Well said! I applaud you! And with the release of the most recent WIKIleaks--proves Hillary is dishonest... undeserving of becoming our next president.

I see a people honestly believe that Trump is better then Clinton because ? Well when I ask them why trump is better they say can not provide me with any reason why trump is better other than saying why Clinton is not better. When you vote for someone just because you do not like the other does not give you justification for your vote. Would you vote for Trump if he was running against the Devil?

You should only VOTE for someone if you think that person is the BEST of the two running. I do not vote for Warwick School comm members because I do not feel many of them are NOT qualified to be on the Board.
