Paul William Spencer Davies, 75, died Tuesday, March 8th at Kent Hospital following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, the son of Alfred and Phoebe Davies, Paul was a lifelong resident of Warwick. Following graduation from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in 1959 Paul enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon receiving an honorable discharge in 1963 Paul went to work for the New England Bell phone company until his retirement in 1991.
Paul was a true Rhode Islander who loved good food and drink, motorcycles, the beach, football, and books. He was also a Marine through and through who was extremely proud of his service to his country.
Paul is survived by his older sister Beverly Stuart; nieces Cathy Upchurch and Elizabeth O'Hern; and great-nephews Drew Upchurch, Spencer Upchurch, Aaron O'Hern, Ryan O'Hern, and Sean O'Hern.
In lieu of a funeral service family and close friends gathered for a meal and a celebration of Paul's life.
