Portrait with a purpose
Michele Keir, who has Parkinson’s and uses her artistic skills to raise funds for research to fight the disease, has been making the rounds of card playing groups throughout the city. Using her iPad, she photographs card players and then digitally enhances them to add her artistic flare. Proceeds of the sales – $18 for an unframed portrait – all go to Parkinson’s research. Keir was recently at the high-low-jack session at the Pilgrim Senior Center. She’s pictured here with Jeanette Berard, a regular at the weekly gathering of card players. (Warwick Beacon photo)
