Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up three cents this week, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA’s October 11 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.22 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is four cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.26. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 1 cent lower at $2.21.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 19 cents, from a low of $2.13 to a high of $2.32.

How, exactly, is this headline true? RI has the 18th highest gasoline taxes in the country (yet we still have the worst roads- why aren't you all voting EVERYONE out of the General Assembly?).
RI also has some of the highest shipping charges because you're so far from the head of the delivery pipelines.
They must have included Hawaii in the "average".
