Rocky Hill School has announced establishment of a Mariner Postgraduate Program.
The purpose of a postgraduate year – sometimes referred to as a bridge year – is to strengthen one’s academic profile before attending colleges or universities. The Mariner Postgraduate Program invites postgraduate students to enroll at Rocky Hill School in order to expand their academic coursework within a combined traditional and expanded curriculum. Postgraduate students will focus on academic growth and personal enrichment while immersed in a Rocky Hill School senior-year experience that includes opportunities in arts and athletics, as well as Senior Projects and Senior Seminar.
“We are thrilled to be offering such a comprehensive fifth-year program for postgraduate students,” said Director of Admission Catherine Washburn. “PG students will have so much to choose from between our 15 AP courses, expanding learning offerings and technology-infused curriculum, not to mention our growing maritime programs.”
The Mariner Postgraduate Program is also advantageous for international students who are looking to pursue a fifth year to achieve a higher degree of English language proficiency and gain exposure to the American education system before enrolling in an American college or university.
Rocky Hill School is one of the only schools in Rhode Island offering such a program. Visit www.rockyhill.org/pg to learn more or to apply.
