Save The Bay’s popular Beach Slam featuring great food, live music, a rock wall, demonstrations of stand-up paddle boards and kayaks will be held at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Save the Bay is looking for Beach Slam volunteers.
The day includes activities on land, in the water and at the coast for families to enjoy. Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of capacities that day, including: Parking, Green Team, raffles, crafts, field games and coastal activities. Community service hours will be given at this event for all student volunteers. Volunteers can work any of the three shifts: Early shift from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; late shift from 2:30 to 6 p.m.; and full day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
