The 11th annual observance of the Station Nightclub fire will be held this year at City Council Chambers in Warwick City Hall on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.
Gina Russo of the Station Fire Memorial Foundation will serve as master of ceremonies and will provide an update on the status of plans to build a lasting memorial at the site. Also speaking will be Mayor Scott Avedisian, who will bring the city’s greetings, and Peter Ginaitt, who was a first responder. He will talk about how Rhode Island is safer in the wake of the fire. The event will include prayers, a song and most meaningful, the reading of the 100 names of those who lost their lives.
