Having recently celebrated his 50th birthday, Mayor Scott Avedisian became eligible to receive a shingles vaccination. He didn’t delay, taking advantage of the clinic run by the Wellness Center Tuesday at the Pilgrim Senior Center. Twenty-five people availed themselves of the service. The vaccine, which is administered just once, is 60 percent totally effective. It is recommended for all persons 50 years old or older. Administering the vaccination is Kellie Bryda, RN.
