Assisted Daily Living Inc., a Warwick-based home care agency, is celebrating their 30th anniversary Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. Mayor Scott Avedisian, Councilman Joe Gallucci are expected to attend and present city certificates to five ADL employees.

Debra Corey, founder and president of ADL, said, “I fell in love with the home care field back in the early eighties. To do something you love every day for over three decades is a gift. It’s an honor to connect some of the best home care talent in Rhode Island with thousands of families over the last 30 years. ADL’s celebration is really my chance to recognize everyone who’ve made this milestone possible.”

Avedisian and Gallucci, will present certificates of recognition to ADL and five employees who worked alongside Corey for more than 20 years: Helen Varin, Judith Gower, Trudy Maher, Wendy LaFontaine, and Marcia Moriarty.

Other attendees include current and past employees, and ADL’s professional advisory committee members: David Meyer, MD; Walter F. Richardson III, Esquire; Jean Charon, PT; Judith Peliquin, OT; Marianne Goodrich, SLP; and Abby Scarlark, MSW. Debra Corey’s family will also attend in recognition of the support they’ve provided.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve built together in my home state of Rhode Island,” says Corey, “There were a few times – like during the 1991 Credit Union Crisis – where other local business didn’t survive. Our success is truly a testament to the perseverance and dedication of ADL’s staff, business advisors, my family, and, most importantly, the patients we faithfully serve every day.”

    Dear Debra Corey,

You stated that your success is "a testament to the perseverance and dedication of ADL's staff...etc."

I suggest that the vast majority comes solely from you. You're their leader. Every decision they make is influenced by you. Every important decision is actually made by you, so congratulations on the success of ADL. Congratulations on the success you created. Thank you for being located in Warwick. I am looking forward to meeting you.

    Richard Corrente

    Democrat for Mayor
