More than 180 members of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), run by Westbay Community Action, gathered last Tuesday at Nino’s in Coventry for their annual volunteer recognition luncheon. The occasion was festive with plenty of music and dancing. In the course of a year, 680 volunteers in the program contribute 86,000 hours, said volunteer coordinator Patricia Martucci. Among the many from Warwick is this group who have all been in the program for 20 years or longer: Lynn White (not a member of RSVP), who accompanied her mother Marianne White, founder of the Happy Hoofer dancers, and Roseanna Gibson seated, and standing Joan Murthough and Delores Barboza.
