Airport Road motorists who have grown accustomed to seeing black pipes on the north side of the road may have questioned why new pipes were being installed last week. The answer is that the long anticipated relining of the Warwick Sewer Authority pressure line from the Cedar Swamp pumping station to a point near Hallene Road is about to begin. The black pipes will serve as a bypass to the in-ground pipes. The $13.6 million project is expected to be completed next spring. Much of the in-ground pipe is on airport property. A section of it, however, is along Lakeshore Drive which will require the excavation of entry and exit pits to perform the work starting next week. (Warwick Beacon photo)
