Michael Buratczuk, 76, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of RI in Coventry surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Laura J. (DelSesto) Buratczuk. Born in Halter West Falen, Germany, he was the son of the late Mykola and Maria (Harasymenko) Buratczuk. Michael was a front-end manager for 35 years for the former Almacs Market until retiring. Michael was the RI president of the Fresh Air Fund. He was also a scout leader which was affiliated with the Greenwood Presbyterian Church. He was also a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam Conflict. Besides his wife, he leaves his 2 children, Michalea J. Hubbard and her husband, Gary, and Michael A. Buratczuk and his wife, Jennifer. He leaves 2 grandchilren, Evan Buratczuk and Lily Hubbard. He leaves 2 brothers George and Dymtro Buratczuk.
A Catholic prayer service will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 3pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick followed by Military Honors. Visiting hours will be prior from 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Alzheimer Association, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated.
