Raymond L. Dolloff, Sr. (Ray), a Warwick resident for over 60 years, age 80, passed away on February 6, 2024, just 3 days before his 81st birthday, joining his Savior, Jesus Christ, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maureen K. (Lonergan) Dolloff, for 60 years.  It was just 16 days before their 60th wedding anniversary. He called her his “Sweetie Pie.”

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Margaret B. (Degnan) Dolloff. A graduate of Lasalle Academy’s class of 1961, Ray went on to become a Machinist, working at Leesona, Sheldahl, Brown & Sharpe, and finishing his career at Stanley Bostitch. He was a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International.

Ray loved the simple pleasures in life like taking long drives with his wife, enjoying going to his favorite place for an ice cream cone at Brickley’s, summer cookouts at his son’s, and watching his cats, Thunda and Bernie (RIP) playing and running around the house chasing their toys, and napping. Dedicated to his faith in Jesus Christ, he attended church, spent many hours reading the Bible (Word of God), and listening to Christian music. In his downtime, he enjoyed reading the newspaper and watching sports, especially the New England Patriots, Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and Celtics.

Ray will be missed by all who knew him as he touched many lives with his steadfast faith in Christ.  He was always ready for any conversation about sports.

In addition to his wife Maureen, he is survived by his two children, Raymond L. Dolloff, Jr. and his wife Kathy, of Richmond, RI; Kerri-Lyn M. Dolloff, of Warwick, RI; and two grandchildren, Raymond H. Dolloff, of Richmond, RI; and Kaitlin M. Dolloff, of Bangor, ME. He was the brother of the late Margaret M. Dolloff.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for all their support, kindness, and compassion, especially Ray’s nurse, Wendy, and CNA, Carla.

Relatives and friends are invited to join a remembrance of life service for Ray on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at 10:00AM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Visitation will be held the Friday from 4:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to Riverpoint Advent Christian Church at 1107 Main Street, West Warwick, RI 02893 or Beacon Hospice in North Kingstown, RI. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
