Janice H. Green 77, passed away on March 28, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Huntington County, Indiana, Janice was the daughter of the late Eleanor Altman.
Janice moved from Indiana to Milford, MA as a child and then to Warwick and made her home and family there until her passing. Janice worked as a cashier at Ann & Hope from 1974 until 1994 and then worked as a nanny for, and close confidante and friend of, the Guarino family from 1994 until her death. Janice was devoted to her children and grandchildren and supported them in all aspects of their lives, developing close relationships with all their friends by being present at all their school and sports activities.
She was the loving mother of Thomas Green and his partner Diana, Kimberly (Green) Parlato and her husband Craig, Erin Green and her partner Frank. She was the mother of the late William Green. Janice was the adoring grandmother of Kelsey Maraia and her husband Matt, Dominic Parlato and his partner Jessy, Kassidy Sousa, Justin Hicks and his wife Regina, Shelby Green and her partner Danny, and great-grandmother to Matt Maraia Jr. She was Goy to Steven, Alex, Giuliana, and Gabriella Guarino.
Janice’s Funeral will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024, at 8 a.m. from the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Saint Paul Church, One St. Paul Place Cranston, RI 02905, Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
