Francine Lambert of Pawtucket chose one of her favorite beaches to enjoy a warm and sunny first day of fall. She said she likes City Park beach because of its protected and shallow waters that make it a safe place to bring her grandchildren. But as there is school, she made the beach stop on her own Monday and, to her surprise, found she had the beach all to herself. We still have some Eastern Daylight Saving Time to enjoy. That comes to an end with the return to Eastern Standard Time at 2 a.m. Nov. 3. (Warwick Beacon photo)
