When Hendricken’s director of advancement Peter Thomas initiated a plan to serve a Thanksgiving dinner for those who might otherwise spend the holiday alone or were homeless, he turned to then-Mayor Scott Avedisian and other community members for assistance. Avedisian, then chair of the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority board of directors, arranged for transportation runs to the school. Culinart, the contracted food caterer at Hendricken, provided the food; Ocean State Job Lot came through with gloves, scarves and hats and students volunteered to help serve and cleanup. Volunteers outnumbered participants that first dinner. But Thomas didn’t doubt the importance of the program. The fourth annual dinner was held this Thanksgiving with a record 100 attending. RIPTA made two runs to the school.

Well, A, it is nice that they are providing dinner and outdoor clothing on Thanksgiving. And B, I believe they also provided pancakes for the Veterans the week prior so it wasn't just once a year. I don't know much about the school but I would be inclined to believe they do a lot for our community.
