Liam Pendergast got an introduction to the outgoing friendliness of the Irish on the warmest day of October Saturday at O’Rourkes Bar and Grill in Pawtuxet. No, he didn’t get a taste of Guinness but he did get to bask in the arms of his grandmother Kristen Lynch Pendergast who recalled 31 years ago when she and two others working in City Hall were pregnant. She was pregnant with Raymond who is Liam’s father and a South Kingstown policeman. Liam’s mother, Bianna, came along for the outing. She was good with Kristen cuddling and showing off her son to admirers and friends - strangers, too – from the O’Rourkes patio. (Warwick Beacon photo)
