It was another proud moment for Maria Evangelista and the Lollipop Learning Center in Johnston. Early last Friday evening, the LLC held its fun filled and colorful Pre-K Graduation for the Class of 2017. The ceremony took a page out of some high school graduations, as all members of the Class of 2017 came dressed in white gowns and caps that were all decorated

Evangelista, a life-long Johnston resident who has worked with children ever since she graduated from Johnston High School in 1997, is an alumnus of the Community College of Rhode Island and University of Rhode Island who holds degrees in Early Childhood Learning and Special Education. The eight member graduating glass also impressed the attendees while they sang songs, recited poems, and wowed the audience. Pre-K teachers Nicole Gaskin and Assistant Director Emily Weidele presented their diplomas.

This year’s class includes Dean Fisher, Dayland Addison, Joseph Marchesseault, Harrison Thomas, Gabrielle Kluszcynski, Baylee Harris, Austin Bates and Juliana Fermin.
