On Friday, April 27 at 5:52 p.m., the Warwick Police Department responded to the report of a single vehicle crash. A 1997 Green Chevy pickup truck was traveling easterly on Main Avenue when it crossed the centerline, striking a cement median and continuing easterly, where it struck a stonewall at 655 Main Ave.
The operator and sole occupant was identified as Denis Falk, 66, from Warwick. Falk was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The investigation revealed that Falk showed signs of intoxication. He was subsequently charged with one count of DUI first offense BAC unknown.
No other persons were injured as a result of this crash.
