As the tradition for decades, Easter sun rise services were held at Warwick Neck Light overlooking a serene Narragansett Bay with a mirror reflection of a brightening sky. That service was followed at Oakland Beach with an Easter service that included a reenactment of Jesus revealing himself to his disciples following his crucifixion as they fished in the sea of Tiberias sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Warwick and St. Rita Church in Oakland Beach. During the service on the Beach with Fist Congregational Church and Steven Diel of St. Rita directing, youth of the Congregational Church dressed as disciples offered those in attendance chunks of fish sticks and bread. As she has done for years, Marcia Beagan directed the music. Sandy Ashe narrated the reenactment. Participating in the service at Warwick light were pastors George Barclay of Norwood Baptist, Sam Chesser of Warwick Central Baptist, Scott Lee of St. Barnabas Episcopal, Ron Provencal of Lakewood Baptist, Matt McIntosh, Warwick Assembly of God and Dec Packard, Woodbury Union Presbyterian.
