Ollie Herbert Northup Jr., 85, of Warwick, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce A. (Bruno) Northup. They were married sixty-years at the time of her passing.
Born in North Kingstown, he was the son of the late Ollie H. Northup, Sr. and Adeline H. (Dickie) Northup. Ollie was employed as a Label Dater at the former Narragansett Brewery Company for twenty-nine years and was also employed in Maintenance at the former G. Fox Company in Warwick. Ollie was a Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston. He was an avid painter and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by two beloved sons: Donald W. Northup of Clearwater, FL and Richard A. Northup of Lincoln; three loving daughters: Gail M. Moan of Warwick, Joyce A. Kettelle and Kimberly D. Northup, both of Cranston; ten cherished grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late David Northup, Alice Nagel and Dorothy Northup.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
