The US Attorney's Office will be hosting several student assemblies on opioid addiction awareness. The School Committee and Superintendent Philip Thornton have extended the invitation to the City Council to attend any meeting of their choice. At the assemblies, students will be shown the film Chasing the Dragon, a documentary produced by the FBI and DEA.
At Toll Gate, the assembly for grades 9 and 10 will be on May 24 at 10 a.m. Grades 11 and 12 will have theirs May 30 at 10 a.m.
At Pilgrim, grades 9 and 10 will have their assembly May 23 at 10 a.m. Grades 11 and 12 will be on May 25 at 10 a.m.
Parents with questions on the assemblies can contact their school’s principals.
