Yes, it’s lighter in the mornings. The sun rose 18 minutes sooner yesterday than it did on the longest day of winter, Dec. 21, when the sun shone for 9:08 hours. Yesterday we had 10:17 hours of sun. Nonetheless, it’s still winter and while mornings like this remind us spring can’t be far away, it doesn’t seem to get here soon enough. The scene is looking south toward Conimicut Point.
