The Pilgrim girls tennis team has continued its roll this fall, recently beating Shea and Johnston to improve its record to 9-0 in Division 3.
Singles players Samantha Sheehan and Alana Resendes continued their undefeated season at second and thirds singles and the first doubles team of Isabella De Melo and Bianca Smith remain undefeated as well. The win over Shea was highlighted by Jenna Gustafson winning at first singles defeating Sophia Panzo, a senior at Shea, in three sets. Panzo, who is among the top players in Division 3, was dealt her first loss since her sophomore year.
Gustafson remains undefeated this season with an 9-0 record. Pilgrim's next match is Thursday against defending Division 3 champion North Providence.
