Westbay Farm, operated by Westbay Community Action at 1331 Centerville Road, Warwick will hold its annual plant sale May 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The farm, run by Steve Stycos, produced more than 22,000 pounds of produce for the Westbay Marketplace last year. Proceeds from the plant sale will go toward running the marketplace for the benefit of needy persons and their families. Stycos said a wide range of plants, many of them grown from seed in greenhouses at Warwick City Park, would be for sale, including eight varieties of tomatoes plus other vegetables and flowers. He said prices are in the range of $4 to $6. And, as an added attraction, a goat will be visiting the farm for the sale.
