Rep. Camille F.J. Vella-Wilkinson (D-Dist. 21, Warwick), along with the Rhode Island Military Organization, will host a boot camp breakfast to celebrate Armed Forces Day.

The free event will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the William Shields Jr. American Legion Post 43 at 662 West Shore Road in Warwick.

Veterans are invited to celebrate Armed Forces Day with numerous organizations that provide direct services to the veteran community. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about available resources, meet members of the General Assembly, hear about current legislation relating to veterans, and participate in a round-table discussion on issues important to the military, veterans and their families.

Vella-Wilkinson, a retired naval officer, is a member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs.

Wonderful gesture Camille. You have always gone above and beyond, especially for "your" Veterans. Thank you for your continued service.

Wilkinson is a disgraceful liar and an embarrassment to the democratic process.

Rob Cote, AKA "Thecaptain" read the above article and referred to Camille Vella-Wilkinson as "disgraceful", "a liar", and an "embarrassment", all in one sentence. I'm hard-pressed to know how he got ANY of that from the time and effort Camille is donating to the men and women who risked their lives for our country. I'm also wondering what, if anything, Rob Cote has EVER done for Veterans.

    Happy Spring everyone

    Happy Mothers Day Camille.

My comments have nothing to do with our veterans. It has to do with the fact that Wilkinson sold out the city to the Airport, she lied and stated she would repeal tolls and not vote for them, she lied to the gun owners community and then backed bills to ban guns, she put forth bills that cripple the taxpayer and take away management rights, she was complacent as a city council member and never did her homework. Much like yourself, she pandered to all of the unions and special interests, she circulated false defamatory emails about me, (which she was sued for by the way), and she uses public service as a platform to solicit special interest money.

Not withstanding that she publicly discredited you and refused to put your signs in her window and openly backed your opponent.

One thing is for certain, at the budget hearings you will certainly humiliate yourself either by not saying a word (as is typical) or by making dumb unsubstantiated statements which have no merit. Either way, next week the democratic city committee is meeting to give their endorsement for mayor candidate. Guess who it wont be? Look in the mirror. We are all laughing at you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    Hey, Thecaptain:

I wonder if the Democratic City Committee has noticed that the make-believe mayor is calling himself "endorsed" on his website, that he's recently been calling Council President Solomon a "political insider" [after accepting campaign contributions from him and several other insiders], that he is now attacking the same 9-0 Democratic city council that he's been vocally supporting for years, that he is lying about Warwick losing 5,800 taxpayers, and that he has been claiming credit for tax and spending cuts in the FY18 budget that did not happen.

As you rightly point out, they were already certain not to endorse the make-believe mayor; this additional information shows that their decision is the right one. I am sure we can expect the make-believe mayor to now disavow the party that he represents as "the Democratic machine" or some such nonsense, in yet another delusional and futile attempt to gain support for his soon-to-fail campaign.
