RI International Film Festival visits library on Aug. 10

Enjoy a night of fabulous short films when the Rhode Island International Film Festival comes to Warwick Public Library on Saturday, August 10 at 7 p.m. Experience the thrill of a RIIFF opening night at a reprise of their 2018 opening line-up. Watch films from Canada, China, Russia, Switzerland, UK and USA, including comical crowd-pleasers, thoughtful studies and just plain excellent movies. Films to be featured include: "Tight Spot" (2018), "ZION" (2017), "Caroline" (2018), "Fall River" (2018), "The Collar" (2017), "Marguerite" (2017), "Geoff" (2017), "Tyrannosaurus Funk" (2017), FERN (2017) and "One Small Step" (2018). All RIIFF shorts are eligible for the Academy Awards, and many have received Oscar nominations over the years. The Rhode Island International Film Festival opens on August 6 at The Vets auditorium and runs from August 6-11. For more information, call 739-5440 x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
