Usually the Rotary Club of Warwick awards $1,000 scholarships to a graduating senior from each of the city’s high schools. This year, however, all the applicants were from Toll Gate. At last Thursday’s weekly meeting, scholarships were presented to Kasey Moorehead, who plans to study marine biology at URI; Sarah Coutu, who will be attending Florida Institute of Technology to study aerospace engineering; and Veronica Weaver, who will attend Simons College, where she will study either secondary education and history or social work and history. Pictured from left are club president Oliver Bray, scholarship committee chair Randy Shatz, Moorehead, Coutu and Weaver. (Warwick Beacon photo)
