The Bishop Hendricken soccer team has been on a roll as of late and has been the hottest team in the state over the past two weeks. The Hawks have won their past two games, most recently beating Portsmouth 4-2 after falling behind early.
Xavier Wilkens, Jared Badillo, Tristan Boyns and Colin Blanchette all scored goals in the win. The Hawks topped East Providence 3-2 the previous game, as Wilkens scored a pair of goals while Brennan Hill added another.
GIRLS SOCCER
Toll Gate 1, Cranston East 1
The Titans maintained unbeaten and in control of first place with a 1-1 tie against Cranston East. Adeline Areson scored the team’s lone goal while Alanna Pereira made three stops in net.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
EWG 3, Pilgrim 0
Exeter-West Greenwich rolled to a shutout over Pilgrim on Tuesday. The Pats were led by Sophia Schmitt with four aces and five digs while Kayli Sherlock recorded eight kills.
Woonsocket 3, Toll Gate 0
Mary McNulty continued her strong campaign for the Titans as she finished the day with 12 kills and six digs.
FOOTBALL
Hendricken 35, Central 28
The Hawks clinched the top seed in Division I with a thrilling comeback win over Central. Ronjai Francis led the Hawks with three rushing touchdowns while Oscar Weah and Jonus Rivera scored as well.
