City crews rushed to finish Donovan Park in the center of Conimicut Village for Friday’s annual tree lighting held by the Conimicut Village Association and they did it by the time association president Virginia Barham gave the countdown to light the tree. Barham told those assembled of businesses planning to move into the village and spoke of the reconstruction of Woodbury Union Church that sustained a devastating fire last year. Friends Way across from the park hosted the post lighting activities that included refreshments and a visit with Santa.
