Sally Ann Brown, 92, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2023. Born in Middletown, Connecticut, moved to RI as a child and settled in Johnston. She is an alumni of Saint Xavier Academy, and attended Bryant College majoring in English.

She worked for Brown & Sharp and the telephone company before marrying and starting a family. She re-entered the workforce in 1974 and retired from her favorite position as a clerk for the Warwick School Department in 1997.

Sally’s passion in life was singing soprano. She began her singing career at St Xavier Academy where she enjoyed being a member of the Glee Club. She went on to sing in Saint Kevin’s choir, Saint Clements choir, and Immaculate Conception choir. However, the West Bay Chorale was closest to her heart. She began singing with the group in 1980, and her last concert was in 2022.

Sally is predeceased by her husband, Guinther Karl Brown. She also leaves behind her daughter, Sharon Rapoza of Warwick, her daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and David Cicillini of Nevada and Warwick, 3 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 31 at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed with a Catholic Prayer Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
