Rosemary (McCann) Sherman, 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Sherman. She was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Henry P. and Alice (Houlihan) McCann. Rosemary was employed by Warwick School Department where she worked in the elementary school as a food service worker; as well as being retired from Aramark.

Rosemary was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother; always giving her time and endless love. She acted as a caregiver to several family members over the years. Miss Rosemary the “Lunch Lady” truly enjoyed interacting with the children each day. In addition, many charities benefited from her selfless nature. She was one-of-a-kind and will be dearly missed. Rosemary was an Alumni of St. Theresa School.

She leaves two children, Gail A. (Sherman) Paolino and her husband Joseph J. of Kingston, and Kevin R. Sherman of Warwick; one granddaughter, Aubrey Paolino and her husband Fergus R. O’Connor of Hyannis, MA; her sister Lillian L. McCann. Rosemary is predeceased by her brothers Henry P. and John R. McCann.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long St., Warwick at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be Monday, October 9, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Burial will be private at the RI Veterans Cemetery.
