To KIRK MCDONOUGH, CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD OF CANVASSERS, in Providence County in said City and State – GREETINGS: You are hereby commanded and required in the name of the Board of Canvassers and Registration of said City to post at least seven days previous to the day herein named written notifications in one public place in each Voting District of said City, giving notice to the qualified electors thereof to assemble in District Meetings on:

 TUESDAY, THE 4TH DAY OF JUNE A.D. 2024

EARLY VOTING NOTICE
Early Voting will take place at the Peter T. Pastore, Jr. Youth Center, 155 Gansett Ave., weekdays starting Wednesday,
May 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed Memorial Day), ending at the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, June 3.

 

 For the approval or rejection of a local referendum, wherein said Electors shall in each voting district give in their ballots as provided by law to approve or reject the local bond issue herein printed:

SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL FACILITIES

$40,000,000 BONDS AND NOTES

(Local Acts 010/011 - Acts and Resolves of 2024)

Shall an act passed at the 2024 session of the General Assembly entitled 'An act authorizing the City of Cranston to issue not to exceed $40,000,000 general obligation bonds, notes and other evidences of indebtedness to finance the purchase and/or acquisition of land and buildings, construction, renovation, improvement, alteration, repair, landscaping, furnishing and/or equipping of schools and school facilities throughout the city, subject to approval of state housing aid at a reimbursement rate or state share ratio of not less than 50% at the time of issuance' be approved?

 

AND TO TRANSACT ANY OTHER BUSINESS THAT MAY LEGALLY COME BEFORE SAID ELECTION.   
Said election, as the law directs, shall be kept open from 7:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. 
Hereof fail not, and true return of this warrant make with your doings thereon.  

TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON:
You are hereby notified and warned to assemble in District Meetings at the time and place therein named for the purposes therein set forth.
