Sumner, Sandra Jean "Sandy" (Cullen-Chase)

Sandra Jean “Sandy” Sumner (Cullen Chase) passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 77 in DeBary, Florida. She was born on October 12, 1946, in Providence, RI, to the late Russell W. Cullen and the late Claire E. (Dean) Cullen.

Sandy was a quiet, hardworking, and caring individual who took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She was known for her sentimental nature and cherished her family deeply.

Sandy was a Warwick resident for 46 years before moving to Florida in 1992.  She was a graduate of Pilgrim High School. Following her education, she was a homemaker, a devoted mother, and a dedicated worker for Danecraft Jewelry, Brunswick Bowl and various cleaning organizations in Florida.

Outside of work, Sandy had a passion for staying active. She was an avid participant in aerobics and enjoyed spending time bowling, sunbathing at the local city beaches, and caring for her pets. Sandy was also a lifelong fan of the Bruins, Red Sox, NASCAR racing and loved to settle in and catch a good horror flick.

Sandy is survived by her son, Kevin J. Chase, his wife Sheila J. of Warwick, and her daughter, Linda M. Pensyl of DeBary, Florida. She was a loving grandmother to Shailin M. Chase, Sydney M. Chase, and Brandon M. Pensyl.

Sandy was preceded in death by her past husband, Ralph G. Chase, past husband, William R. Sumner Sr., and her son, Michael G. Chase.

Memorial services for Sandy will be private, allowing her loved ones to gather and remember her in a personal and intimate setting.

Sandy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. May she rest in peace.
