Despite being greeted with about an inch of water on the floor of offices in the Saw Tooth Annex building last week, tax collectors remained available to process property tax payments that were due this week. Taxpayers could drop off check payments in the annex rotunda and make cash payments on the second floor planning office that was reconfigured for the purpose. The water, it is believed, seeped up through the floor from a pipe under the former Apponaug Mill complex. As the city is leasing its portion of the building from AAA Northeast, they responded to the situation. “They reacted to it. I’m very happy with AAA,” Mayor Frank Picozzi said. (Warwick Beacon photo)
