Toll Gate pushed above .500 at 4-3 on Friday night, cruising past winless St. Patrick Academy, 46-15, in Division III girls’ basketball action.
St. Patrick’s Moeisha Joseph made five field goals and a pair of free throws for a game-high 12 points. But, St. Patrick only got three points combined from players other than Joseph.
The Titans produced a more balanced scoring output in the win, led by Quinn Freeman, who was the only Titan in double-figures with a team-high 10 points.
Christina Barry also had a strong game with nine points, as did Isabel Donnelly and Alexandra Werner with eight points apiece. Samantha Arnold chipped in five points of her own, and Emily May, Brianna DeRobbio and Kelsey DiCarlo rounded out the scoring with two points each.
The Titans created a 16-point lead by halftime, taking a 26-10 lead into the break. And they continued to dominate in the second half, holding visiting St. Patrick to just five points over the final 16 minutes en route to the convincing, 31-point victory.
Toll Gate has now won back-to-back league games, and it will be looking to secure a third consecutive victory when it travels to Classical to take on the Purple on Wednesday night for a 6 p.m. start.
