To the Editor:
On behalf of the Buckeye Brook Coalition, I would like to extend our deepest thanks to the young women and men, as well as parents of; Pack 1 Warwick, Pack 7 Buttonwoods, and Troop 7 Buttonwoods, who participated in the Coalition’s annual Earth Day clean up in Warwick on April 28th. Under the leadership of Patty Gomm, they performed an absolutely marvelous job cleaning up Buckeye Brook around old Warwick Avenue.
This group of motivated volunteers was able to gather everything from coffee cups to shopping carts, reducing pollution and removing obstructions to river herring, while enhancing the beauty of the area. Their hard work wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of D’Ambra Construction, the Knights of Columbus Warwick, Diffley and Daughters Septic, The City of Warwick, and Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation.
