Warwick native Olivia King is set to release her single, “Top Down,” with Sony Music on Friday, March 9 in Dallas, Texas. The release party event marks her official debut with a major record label.
King is a graduate of Toll Gate High School and the University of Rhode Island.
King, described as a soulful pop singer, was presented the deal after successfully releasing three singles and an original Christmas song as an independent artist in 2017. All were featured on Spotify’s Discover Weekly and Release Radar Playlists and topped the Indie Charts. King wrote the lyrics to “Top Down,” described as a fun, feel good record.
King has had her original songs placed in major entertainment industry promotions, including the “Be Your Biggest Fan” campaign for Caleb McLaughlin from the Emmy Award-winning Netflix Series, “Stranger Things.” Currently, her song “Independent Woman” is in negotiations for the season finale of “Suits,” starring soon-to-be royal Meghan Markle.
You can find Olivia’s music on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon, YouTube, Vevo and more and can follow her on social media at @oliviakingmusic.
In House Studios of Providence consisting of Taki Brano and KelKeyz produced the song.
