Eric Todd Weimar, 73, of Crofton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving children and friends by his side. His departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eric was born on December 14, 1950, in Warwick, Rhode Island and was a graduate of Pilgrim High School. He is predeceased by his father, Karl Weimar, and mother, Florence Weimar.  Eric had an admiration for the great outdoors, especially evident in his passion for fishing and the remote landscapes of Alaska, where he frequented with friends and family.

Yet, Eric's interests were as varied as the landscape he cherished. Early in life, Eric was a star softball player known for his big bat, speed and strong arm. He also enjoyed golfing and had a deep appreciation for classical music.

Eric was a skilled carpenter by trade, he approached his craft with precision and creativity.  Many times gifting his family and friends with his work.  But, what may be missed most of all was his wit, sense of humor, and friendship.

Eric is survived by his children, Jessica (Weimar) Dekkers and her husband Perry Dekkers of Warwick, RI, Eric Justin Weimar and his wife Nydia Weimar of Cumberland, RI; his sister Stephanie (Weimar) Bowen of Warwick, RI, his brother Gregory Weimar of Warwick, RI. Eric also leaves behind his grandchildren Joshua Collins, Nathan McCullough, Elise Weimar, Evan Weimar, Noella Weimar, and his niece Alexander Bowen.

A  private celebration of Eric's life will be held on  Sunday, April 7th. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched, forever casting a light on the world he loved so dearly.
