Dear Kammy,

I'm with you 100% when you say "You break the law you pay the penalty". However, in this case the decision was a judgement call especially since Donna Travis didn't gain any money by not reporting "full disclosure" of her involvement with her charities. She merely thought it wasn't that important, a mistake anyone could have made. The Ethics Commission could have, and in my view, should have given her a warning, not a fine. When they made that judgement, they should have taken into consideration her long list of good deeds. I don't believe they did. You say "No one demonized this woman". I think the $1,200 fine was "demonizing". She was also photographed (by the same guy) parking in a "no parking" spot. When I saw it I wrote that she should get a parking ticket for that; a parking ticket that i would be proud to pay for. Same reason.

Happy Summer Kammy

Happy Summer everyone.
