To the Editor:
As a war veteran, and a lifetime Democrat, I have the highest respect for Senator John McCain and sympathy for his suffering as a war prisoner. I find Donald Trump’s remarks disgusting. Let’s not elect Donald the Dictator.

Rosetta, this is a matter of the Constitutional right of free speech. The Supreme Court has ruled that it is ok to say and print lies about poliitical opponents. I don't think that most war heros expect to be treated with kid gloves when they enter the political arena. Supporters of war heros do them a disservice when they demand that their war hero be treated with kid bloves. This is the way the political game has been played since the time of Jefferson and Adams.
