Dureault named manager of BankRI Buttonwoods branch


Jennifer Dureault of Johnston has been named by Bank Rhode Island as the new manager of the bank’s Buttonwoods branch on West Shore Road. Previously, Dureault served as the branch’s assistant manager.

As manager, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the office’s daily operations and ensuring all staff delivers BankRI’s high level of customer service. She will work to grow the Bank’s deposit base while developing new business relationships and expanding relationships with existing customers. Additionally, Dureault will train and manage the branch’s team of financial professionals.

Prior to joining BankRI in 2011 as a banking specialist, Dureault spent years working in Consumer Lending with Fleet Bank, N.A., and also served as manager with SGR Construction in Carver, Mass.

“Since joining BankRI, Jennifer has been a consummate professional and leader within our Buttonwoods branch; we are pleased to promote her to branch manager,” said Steven M. Parente, senior vice president, director of retail banking for BankRI, in a statement. “Her extensive financial experience and knowledge of customer needs throughout the community will be an asset to residents and small businesses within the Buttonwoods area.”

Jennifer lives with her husband and two children. She prides herself on being active in the community as a volunteer with various Johnston sports programs.

Go ahead and switch just because they put a woman in charge. What's the matter, you only like your bankers old and stodgy and your women at home barefoot and pregnant?
