"In San Diego, for example, only five ghost guns were recovered during criminal investigations in 2017, compared to 52 the following year."

Doesn't San Diego have some of the most restrictive firearms laws in the country? Strangely enough the "ghost guns" were found "during criminal investigations". Are you saying criminals are breaking the law and you want to pass more laws? Why, so criminals can break them too?

As far as the tragedy that occurred in Parkland not only was it horrifying, it was avoidable. Please see the book written by the father of one of the victims entitled "Why Meadow Died".

Criminal control is what we should be discussing. The shooter at the school mentioned had law enforcement contact more than 2 dozen times.

You see it really doesn't matter if it a pistol, rifle, whether its looks like a military weapon, how many rounds are carried in the magazine or where the weapon is being carried school, church, supermarket or shooting range, it matters who's carrying it and their intentions. Knives and motor vehicles are now weapons of choice in the UK and Europe and is now arriving here. Resent attacks in Florida and Indiana by motor vehicle. I haven't heard much about "vehicle violence" or "vehicle control" could be because we put the blame where it belongs on the operator of the machine.
