When you are talking about gun permits Mr. Howell it sounds like you are talking about background checks and not permits to carry a concealed firearm.
The local PD’s perform a background check but when someone doesn’t have any disqualifying information the purchase is approved. But it isn’t a “permit”.
In RI when we talk about permits that generally refers to a license or permit to carry a concealed firearm.
If you aren’t sure what you are writing about please find a local expert who knows what he/she is talking about.
And that’s nice of that old dinosaur Tamburini to claim he has no problem with people exercising their natural rights reinforced by the Constitution in the 2nd amendment as long as they have been vetted.
