On November 2, 2010, this same ballot issue was defeated by the people overwhelmingly (78% to 22%) and it will be defeated again, and the radical left (including the likes of Little Miss Muffet) will propose it again and again because they want to eradicate our history, statues, traditions, culture and mores. Ironically, their evil forces us to do what Mr Conley has done; that is to review our history and what marvelous history it is:

"When Williams finally established his plantation in late spring 1636, he was welcomed by the leaders of the Narragansett tribe, Canonicus and Mianinomi. The original deed to the Providence Plantation, signed by these sachems on March 24, 1638, confirmed earlier verbal grants. “Not a penny was demanded by either,” wrote Williams. “

It was not price nor money that could have purchased Rhode Island. . .it was purchased by love.”

So to reject this ballot issue is to honor not only Roger Williams, but the leaders of the Narragansett tribe, Canonicus and Mianinomi and the LOVE that was between them!
