The Cumberland Farms at 659 Reservoir Ave. in Cranston sold a $20,000 PowerBall PowerPlay ticket for Wednesday night's drawing, according to the Rhode Island Lottery.
The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall number, which carries a standard payout of $10,000. The ticket’s player added the PowerPlay feature for an additional dollar, however, and since the prize was multiplied by two, the total payout is $20,000.
The winning numbers on Wednesday were 3-7-9-26-54, with a PowerBall of 19.
The previous PowerBall drawing resulted in a $40,000 PowerPlay ticket sold at the Stop & Shop location at 2470 Warwick Ave. in Warwick. That ticket has been claimed by a Warwick man who also won a $50,963 Wild Money jackpot in September.
Saturday’s PowerBall jackpot is estimated at $50 million.
